OK this goes for any holiday, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Birthdays, even your kids' birthdays, etc... The holiday that brings you lots of happiness and joy and even days before, brings you tons of excitement...

for me, I have to say, Christmas, or simply - the Yuletide/Holiday Seasons... everyone is so happy, and I love family/family friends gatherings and stay up all night...(since we dont celebrate Thanksgiving much here in the Phils., and what we do have is more on a personal basis)... While Christmas, our celebration here comes especially at Christmas Eve where everyone stays up and have a feast at midnight called Noche Beuna, and some go to church at that time...

12 days before Christmas, everyday, we have this "Simbang Gabi", where there is an everyday mass at around 4 a.m. and they say that if you are present on all 12 days, you get to have a wish granted.

New Years is a blast... Well, I think the whole world knows and celebrates it more or less the same...

Birthdays... as much as I love the attention, everyone cant have the same happiness shared compared to Christmas...

and our All Saints/Souls Day here is too formal, go to the cemetary, pay  homage to the dearly departed(some sleep over there), while no Trick or Treating or something like that(except on some exclusive subdivision), but there are mall/restaurant celebrations, and I love the horror documentaries on TV!

sweet... let me correct you... it's only 9 days of the Simbang Gabi or Misa de Gallo (Evening Mass)... its the Catholic preparation of the birth of Christ... (i think you have confused it with the 12 Days of Christmas with the 5 golden rings!... heheheh   Grin)

well i'd say it would be the Christmas holidays... because it is the longest celebration here... which starts on the 1st Ber month, September upto the first Sunday of January for the Three Kings....

i really enjoy Thanksgiving and Christmas, especially the latter because the older I get the more I enjoy watching the little ones and their surprise and the belief in St. Nicholas...

I love Christmas.  As a Christian, it is a very important celebration for my faith.  Also, I love the music at that time of year.  There is hardly a Christmas song I don't enjoy.

"Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer" however, would be one...
