I do not like this feature.   However!  I do think it's appropriate when you are actually away.   It's just irritating to pm someone and get this message, when they are here.  It makes me confused.

It is great working for a cleaning company...
 
we have this great spray that smells like watermelon. It kills most any kind of smell.

so I just realized that there is an outbox here which saves all the messages you send through your PM's, I had a ton in mine because I have never deleted a single one since I joined

Not to worry, if it gets full it will pop up and tell you, and remind you to empty it. I don't usually empty mine until I get the warning.  
 
Just a note, any messages in your outbox that have the little "call back" message on them means that the person you sent it to hasn't read it yet and you don't want to delete it from your outbox or they may never get it.
