Pilar went to doctor yesterday over a continued cough she has had since October. There were clear concerns since we knew she didnt have any other cold symptons so we knew it wasnt a cold. It turns out Pilar has asthma but not a serious case she weill need to take meds but she will be fine. I will admot cough hasnt slowed her down at all lol. doctor took her off work for a week so she could let meds take effect.

Auch! I know what she is going through.

I had a persistent cough a few years back. Turns out it was an lung infection. I ended up tearing the muscle lining off my ribcage. Talk about pain.

To this day I still have a tingly sensation on my ribs. Those things never heal the doc said.  Sad

I hope she feels better soon.

Sending Pilar a get well wish!

My husband has had a persistent cough since late January.  Me, being the worrier that I am and fearful my playmate might be sick, I finally got him into a specialists office last week.  Well, he'd been to our family doctor three times already and had antibiotics as well.

To our feeling of relief, the blood pressure med has a coughing side effect .  As he said, never taken a pill in my life other than vitamins and I have to be the one out of one hundred to develop a chronic cough.  Meds are changed now and it will take a few eeeks for the cough to go away.  So glad it was the lowest dosage!

Hasn't slowed him down either.  He's on the golf course again!
He loves retirement!  So do I Grin

it won't slow her down, especially if she's using her meds.

You might need some more vitamins there David.  lucky you. Wink

Pilar I too have asthma.   It can be managed with meds but please do be careful.

I hope Pilar's meds work well.

Luci, watch out for those blood pressure meds.  I was talking to Wombat/WileyCoyote yesterday, adn he told me he now has Rhabdomyosis.  This was caused by taking Lipitor for 1 MONTH.  It's very serious.  Proceed with caution.

Wow I'm sorry to hear Pilar is ill. My grandson just had a similar event last month. he is 5 and had a cough from hell that wouldn't go away. he finally ended up on a breathing machine for asthma too. it took a good 4 days on the medicine (albuterol) before he started getting better. the doctor said they wont call it asthma unless he has three episodes of the cough. It could have just been a fluke cold thing. I hope so. Hope pilar is feeling better. Just what you need David her to be sick in bed!  kabi
