This is by far, one jammin newspaper. Takes approximately 3 minutes to read it. I got a GIFT of a 3 month subscription when I opened my local bank account. They throw it in my yard every day. I just gathered up a weeks worth. Here you can read about who died, what the local sports teams are doing and what is on sale at Goody's. That is about it. Maybe a coupon or two for Captain D's or Arbys. wooooooooo hooooooooooooo

Okay, front page news and big story of the day:

Sheriff's Dept continues Man Hunt

Area law enforcement officials are working to capture several men who allegedly SHOT at police officers Thursday. OH MY GAWD! lolololol
"We attempted to serve a warrent on John Lee Brown" and then we got shot at. haaaaaaaaaaaaa
Ole Leroy was probably busy in his distillery when they arrived. I would have shot at them too. More news later....

This is the article that you seem to find humorous:

(From the Alexander City Outlook)
By Stephanie Rebman

A man wanted for attempted murder shot at two Tallapoosa County sheriff's investigators Thursday afternoon and sparked a daylong search in the woods of Macon County.

Tallapoosa County Sheriff Jimmy Abbett said John Smith of Tuskegee was wanted in connection with two attempted murders in the lower end of the county, and officers were in the process of arresting him when he opened fire.

"We were attempting to locate individuals," Abbett said. "Two of our investigators were with two investigators from Macon County. When they went to execute the arrest warrant, the suspect fled into the woods and shots were fired at the officers. Several shots were fired, but no officers were injured."

The search for Smith was ongoing as of press time, and the board of corrections canines were searching on foot while the Alabama State Troopers' helicopter was monitoring overhead. The Alabama Board of Investigations was also assisting the two sheriff's departments.

Abbett said Smith and other individuals are wanted for attempted murder where two individuals were shot earlier this week in the Wall Street area and off Lower Tuskegee Road in Tallassee. The two individuals suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Lakelady, I see NO humor in someone shooting at law enforcement officers as they attempt to do their job.

I have a story to tell, keep in mind that I live waaay out in the country.  LOL, one of our local papers only runs once a week!......

One night, at about 1 am, I was awakened by the sound of a truck entering our farm driveway(beside the house).  I shook my husband awake, because no one can be up to any good at 1 am.  He grabbed some pants, and his cordless spotlight and headed out the front door to intercept the truck as it was leaving.  Just has it cleared the corner of the house, he blasted it with light.   Oops, it was a sherriff's department truck!  They had tried to arrest someone in our area earlier, and the guy had run from them.  There was a manhunt going on right here (you've got to try to imagine how remote it is here).  Well, the "cop" got out of his truck, and was greeted by my 6 greatdanes.  Lol, they were barking fiercely, but immediately started licking him.  He decided quite quickly, that if the suspect was in the area, he didn't stick around my farm very long!
