Ok, now I firmly believe in psychic powers, etc. So, on Saturday after the storms rolled through we lost our power for a couple of hours. My wife and I were lying there in bed, sweltering in the humidity and staring at the ceiling fan. Just for fun I looked at my wife and told her I would get the fan rolling to help us out. I raised my hand, made a small gesture and all of a sudden the fan started to turn.   Shocked
 
My wife let out a small gasp then we both noticed the power turned back on as the alarm clock was blinking.  
 
We both  :rofl: though as we both thought I had tapped into some latent power.
 
Oh well, so much for my new super powers. Now I have to put my spandex suit back in the closet. Boradaman will just have to wait until I get some real super powers.   Grin

I have psychic powers too (or maybe I'm a wizard)...
 
Whenever our car doesn't cooperate with us by not starting immediately, I used to chant a spell that will start it up immediately. Of course, I won't share the magic words here, their mine!  :laff:
 
I also say "Lumos" when I turn on a light... Grin Too much Harry Potter....

You know, Borad, your post reminds me of a secret wish I've had since childhood--the ability to become invisible.  I also always wished I could fly.
 
Now, if I could put both of those abilities together, just think of the places I could travel for free...and the retaliation I could heap out on some very "deserving" people!!!  BWAAHAAAAA!

I've always been too good at sensing danger.  When I do, I get away from the situation or people fast.  I've never been wrong, which is spooky.  My Grandmother was this way also.

hhmmm rupe... i too... dreamt of having the ability to fly among the clouds.... Grin
 
and yeah... that would be the cheapest way to travel... Grin  you won't need any visas to go to anywhere.. just make sure you can be invisible to immigration...Grin

The power came back on around 9:05 or so.
 
Rup, I can tell you the secret of flying. I read it once in "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy". The secret is to forget that you are falling.
 
Now, the tricky part is not falling to your death but if you can swing it you are made in the shade.  Grin
 
I do a lot of reading about ESP, etc. Oddly enough Luci women tend to have a higher rate of precognative powers. I don't know if it is the backing for the 'woman's intuition' or not but throughout history more women than men have been documented with this sort of power.

Flying is a fairly common dream....but, sadly, one I haven't experienced...   I'm cursed with recurring dreams of loading ships!!!!  I did that for a number of years in the Marines....and it was some of the most stressful stuff I've had to do....I guess it marked me for life!!!
 
I'm still waiting for Borad to 'splain that "lying in bed sweltering in the heat" comment.... Lips Sealed  Roll Eyes  Wink

I fly often in my dreams. Odd thing is I flap my arms to fly or go faster and tuck them at my side when I want to turn. Sometimes I can levitate but I always have to flap my arms again to get altitude.
 
I oftem remember my dreams and can usually lucid dream if I set my mind to it. Most of my dreams have plot lines and it drives my wife nuts. All she ever has is random images and this is if she can remember them.
 
 
 
As to the brain cells. Men would have more at their disposal if were weren't so gall darn cornfused by u women folk all da tyme.
