Have you heard of Google's Gmail? This is a free email service with a 1GB storage for messages. It's still in the beta stage, but a college classmate already has an account. She said (and also after searching the net) that you could only get an account (for now) thru an invitation from someone who already has an account. What I know is that after you sign-upped, you get three invitations, and you can give them away. (Then if the person you've given the invitation used it, he also gets 3 invs, then you know how the story goes...)

So, Yahoo also increased it's storage to 100MB (I'm so happy).

They say others will follow.

So.... here goes..... can you invite me to sign-up for Gmail? Just PM me! PLEASE!!! :laff:

Yeah I'm actually waiting for Gmail to open. Saw about it in the news a few months ago, I forgot if it was CNN or NBC...

And Yahoo! right away increased their storage, but its nothing compared to Gmail!

One thing I don't like about Gmail is that they use robots to scan your mails, get info, then send you ad emails that are relevant tot he info they got. They said that their people can't read users' emails, but who knows?

I got Gmail!!! A member of an egroup I joined gave me an invitation. Gmail is great, messages are stored in 'conversations'. 1 GB storage. So far, everythings fine. Grin

. I ask Madee (the one who invited me) where to look, and she told me, but I can't see it yet. The site says the link appears if invites are available.

Also, some of my college classmates have already invited others, and they said each account only gets 3 invites. 1 is going to my brother (who will give one of his to my younger sister, then one of hers will be given to the youngest. sort of a chain). The 2nd one is going to a friend who asked me for it, although I'm kind of reluctant in giving it to her, since she doesn't use email frequently (Yahoo is good for her for now). So I can only give 1 more. Hmmm.... maybe I'll give it to one of you here, then make sure that you pass one invite to other members here? Roll Eyes

UGH, but so far, no invites! What, am I the only person they won't give invites? or maybe invitees don't get invites? (that sucks)

They give them in groups of 1-6.

6/12 - I get 1 invite after 7 days
6/16 - 4 Days later, i get 4 invites
6/22 - 6 days later I get 2 invites
6/25 - 3 days later I get 6 invites
7/1 - 7 days later I get 1 invite

Oh. Does it mean people who just get invited don't get invites? How did you sign up for gmail? Were you just invited (like me) ? Or were you given it because of promos (loyal user of their blogger, like Madee, the one who invited me) ?
