What to do in Fort Lauderdale?

Hey everyone,
 
I'm flying down to Fort Lauderdale for business in a couple weeks and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what to do.
 
I have one of the three days planned, another day is full with meetings, so that leaves me one day and one evening.
 
So far this is what I have planned. June 5th fly in, get the rental vehicle (Land Rover... sweet) get to the hotel and then HuhHuhHuhHuh?
 
On the 6th I will be driving up to Riviera Beach for meetings and then back to Fort Lauderdale for dinner at Shula's on the Beach (client recommended it) and then off to the Marlins game against the pirates.
 
On the 7th, I leave at 8:00 pm. So I have the whole day to myself. I was thinking of visiting some other clients in Miami or HuhHuhHuhHuhHuh any suggestions?
 
I am looking forward to seeing the south again (graduated in Hammond LA) I allways enjoy it when Im there.

Puff- gee I thought you were all Canadian Wink
 
Have fun, hopefully it will be better than sitting in your office in this heat!....I did the Grouse Grind yesterday and when I was done and about dead I was dreaming of a little get away like yours...even if it is about work I am sure It will be great!

Cheesy hey Kelby, Im all Canadian, I was down there for a year and a half to graduate. The half year was because I enjoyed myself so much that I decided to stay in New Orleans for awhile (FUN).
 
Azure, I would make the road trip but Im not sure if PA is within my free 200 miles?

What to do in Ft. Lauderdale?.....THE BEACH!!!!  Some of the best bodies in the world are on the Florida beaches, my man!!!   Grin  Roll Eyes

Was it graduate school or? , that s very cool - I did my first year of University in Ireland, it was very fun but not quite the beach Wink

Well the beaches will be visited Wink The hotel I'm staying at is on one so it will be hard to miss.
 
My wife and I have a little saying......  "it doesnt matter where you get your appetite, just as long as you come home for dinner"     Grin Grin Grin
 
also I will be travelling by myself so Mrs.Puff wont be able to check the scenery..
(Mrs.Puff.... I like it)
 
Kelby to answer your question, it was just high school. I went to an all boys accademy for most of highschool, went to LA because most of my friends graduated before me and I had an opportunity given to go to the states. I am so glad I did, it was the best year of school I had.... whole other world in Louisianna.

Puff...if my parents had sent me to New Orleans for grade12, all hell would have broke loose....allthough a boys school might have been interesting( I was in a girls school till gr 10) Wink
 
Thats amazing really, UBC was bad enough ....glad you came out of there no worse for wear, yet with a half year more 'education' under your belt.
 
Well Have fun in Florida, hoping Mrs and baby puff will fare well with out you!...and your theory about the appetite /dinner thing is good..I will try to remember it.

We've been to Ft. Lauderdale a few times before getting on a ship.  We love the city and the beach/ocean.  We also had dinner at Shula's.  Have a good trip!
