not saying to forget god, just saying that circumstances make people loose faith...those that have supposed to of been representing god havent always done the best job...

Thankfully 220 year old laws have changed too...or we'd all be in trouble.

this Country was founded on GOD our money says "In God We Trust" Our Forefathers believed in God' Law. Everything this country has ever stood for was based on God! We also stand for freedom and yes that includes religous freedom but if those who donot like or care to hear see God can close their eyes for they are in the minority. removing God from our walls traditions etc is the beginning of removing God totally! Somethings dont need to change regardless of time. This is one of them!

did you ever notice that one the bill there is a little picture of a pyramid with the top portion floating above the pyramid, and in it there is a single eye?

I find it intresting that there is the phrase "in god we trust" along with an obvious symbol of pagan religion..... all on one bill.

Its great that there are all these symbols and statues showing that at one time the United States as a whole tended to be god fearing people. Its just too bad that the country as we know it today isnt even close to that anymore....

if it was, then you wouldnt see certain things become politically correct....

like

abortion, gay marriage, the whole state of what is deemed okay for TV........

Those things that were mentioned in your post are things to be proud of when you look at them, I simply imply that its too bad that they are becoming a reminder of what once was.

We Americans do have such a stong sense of faith and love of our country. Not to mention the loyalty we TEXANS have to go with it!

Thanks for asking Luci... I think its just different here.

We love our Country, we are very patriotic but we express ourselves differently perhaps. I am not saying any better or worse, just different.

The faith question...well I dont quite have a handle on mine yet so perhaps someone else might answer this question....I would suggest though that it might seem that way to you as our population is so small in comparison...maybe the numbers just dont seem to be there...but still they exist and again maybe we are not as expressive in the way you all are. There are many churches ,(places of worship for lack of a better wording) that seem full constantly...I just dont know as I dont attend...so Id be the wrong person to answer your question.

Sorry luci, not all americans march to your "faith" beat and I believe it is our diverse backgrounds and opinions combined with pride in our nation and heritage that makes our nation so strong....not a monolithic religious view of "my way or the highway".....hmmmm...wasn't it that very intolorance from the Church of England that drove most of the original settlers here from Europe to begin with??

PPP, I too find it cruely ironic that the "eye of osiris" would be on the same bill as such a statement of "in god we trust"....I guess it just doesn't specify which god, eh?
