I am SO envious luci.  RIBS!  How dare you?  There are only 2 things I miss about the city. One is decent mexican food and the other is baby back ribs.  The mexican restaurant here is a major joke and no one even serves ribs here.

As for my dinner....last weekend I thawed my smoked honey baked ham that I got recently got with a gift certificate from last Christmas.  Now I am faced with how to use it all up with just little ole me.  The last couple of nights I have just had a sandwich with fresh sliced tomatoes.  Today I went to allrecipe.com and got a few ideas.  Then went to the grocery store and bought the makings for 2 of them. A ham and swiss loaf and a ham and bean soup.   Looking forward to making them both.  But alas, now that I am home am too tired to attempt cooking.  Will try tomorrow night to be creative but it looks like another sandwich at this point.    Cry

David, you need some chicken soup tonight!

LL, make a ham salad, save the bone for beans, slice it and put the rest int he freezeer for when you are hungry for ham again.

:chef:  Yum, yum, the baby back ribs were scrumptious Grin, cole slawa nd green beans.  We get a coupon in the mail each month for buy one get one free, so one night a month we take advantage of our coupon.  I don't think I could eat ribs more than once a month!

No, you don't need a recipe, just put in it the things you like in other salads.  Boiled eggs. relish, celery, etc.   Do you have a cookbook, or does your Mom have a Southern Living Cookbook?

i am cooking for the household tonight. i have already made faux hamburger soup (made with veggie ground round instead of ground beef) and will very shortly be making wheat free biscuits (made with pea, millet and rice flour).  Smiley

faux hamburger soup = a huge hit  Cool

wheat free biscuits = hockey puck hell (learning to use other flours is a pain in the butt!)
