Apparently I need to read up on this Nashville Star 2 winner.  We are having him come in for a concert at  the lake amphitheatre on Labor Day.    
 
Any fans out there?
 
I'm looking forward to the Jett Williams concert in 2 weeks.  Am reading her book and her story really is fascinating.  Will be interesting to get to meet and talk with her now that I know her life story.

Brad Cotter is one fantastic talented young man.  I've been telling ya'll to watch the Nashville Star.  It is a very organized and well done talent show.  Each contestant also has to be a songwriter.
The judges are not rude to contestants at all, but do  
get their point across.
 
P.S. He's a Georgia boy!

He is a cutie and we were so for him in the Nashville Star contest.  
A very talented guy.  He's one of those overnight success stories that's been in Nashville trying to get a contract for about 10 years Roll Eyes

luci, looks like cutie pie will be coming in today.
Of course he's in his tour bus, but he's actually staying with a coworker named Blue.  Blue is a musician as well and has a guitar in his office.  So  maybe we can get him to sing a tune.    Cool

At this point I have to say that I have underestimated this guy.  Looking back over the Other TV Shows forum, I noticed that luci is the only one who posted about Nashville Star and got no response, leading me to believe she was the only fan.  I certainly was not. I despise country music. Therefore I had no clue how big this guy actually is.  Country music in the south is HOT.  I can honestly say that Ruben would never have drawn a crowd to the potential that this kid can.  
 
Anyhow I missed the meeting due to miscommunication but he will be back next week for a media day to meet the press we have set up. I will see him then. But at this point, cameras and autographs are stictly limited.  I really don't remember Ruben or Clay or any other being under such tight surveillance.  And for the record, he is not from Georgia, he is from 45 minutes away in Auburn.  Seems he announced nationally when he won that he wanted to have a huge party on Lake Martin and invite all his family and friends. We are just making it possible for him.

I might have been the only fan watching this show and also a member here, but we sure weren't the ony fans watching the show!
For many years I never listened to country music, then came "urban Cowboy" and learning to do dance to the music.  From then on I loved it for I love to dance to different kinds of music.
 
I will agree some country singers still sing through the nose which is horrible, and I turn that noise off quickly.  
Ask Pocket if she listens to country music?  
Bet she does, as others on this forum,  
like Chick, Crypto, for sure!
 
Brad Cotter is very talented and deserves this opportunity to show his talent and we wish him well. Cool
 
Girl, you need to find a good country music station and  
listen to the good stuff! Grin  You don't know what you've missed! Wink

Once again luci, it's Brad Cotter day.    Roll Eyes
 
His crew will roll into the office around 10:00.  They all partied last night in Auburn so I'm sure they will be dragging.  From 1:00-3:00 we are having a press conference including all the TV and radio stations and newspapers in central Alabama.  Also, the Sony music people and CMA people will be covering it.  It'll be held at the Hank Williams Cabin at Children's Harbor on the lake.  Tomorrow Brad is going to be on CNN Headline News so maybe he will mention the lake.
