On sunday Aug 8 at 8am Manila time (Aug7 9pm CST) I will be leaving for Austin, Texas with 3 colleagues of mine for a week-long meeting with our Austin counterparts to finish/iron out our pending issues regarding our project... I'm excited already.. I don't feel like working tonight hehehee... Grin this would be the longest flight that I'll take... around 23hrs and 4 stops...

Our originally set Technical Summit next week was moved on the 24th with a new venue.. in Penang, Malaysia... instead, we'll be having a week-long brainstorming session with our Austin leads...

so...I may not be able to post 'round here for the next 2-3 weeks... but I'll try when I can...Grin also I'll try dialing Luci and Rhune when I get the chance...Grin  and Lakelady too.. (I forgot.. Grin)

Pau, I am excited to hear that you are coming to our great state.  Austin is one of the top best cities in the U.S. in which to live.  I hope you enjoy your visit.  I hate that we all aren't going to get to meet you, but we certainly understand.

I know you are familiar with hot humid weather, but don't expect anything less when you arrive.  Aug. is the hottest, most humid time to be in Austin.  Dress cool.  I don't know if you are familiar with San Antonio, but it's a super place to visit.  It's a short drive from Austin, and if you happen to have a free afternoon and evening; you won't regret going to San Antonio.  Dinner on the Riverwalk is perfect!  Plus you can see the famous Alamo (dissapointing in size and grandeur, but loaded with history).  I look forward to hearing your comments on this place we Texans hold such pride in.

Have a safe and wonderful trip.  Both to Penang (a favourite place in my heart because I had 10 days of my honeymoon in Penang) and also to Texas (another favourite place in my heart because of the wonderful visit I had there with my Texan friends).

Safe Journey.

I've been reading Timeline by Michael Crichton, and in the Introduction, it was said that Fujitsu and IBM was making their own secret research. I recall that Pau is working in Fujitsu. What if he went to Texas to test their new technology?! What if he went to the past!

:laff: Just kidding! Can't wait to hear news from Pau.  Grin
