well, I have been foolish and went out and added to my family
 
we are the proud, yet incredibly insane owner of a new puppy.  He is now 12 weeks old and is a pembroke welsh corgi.
 
here he is:

and lastly here he is with both of his older brothers, Scanner and PAXIL, doesn't Scanner look thrilled with newest addition?  lol

OOOH, I love Corgi's  they are precious on their little stubby legs.  The vet I worked for raised them, and said they make super house pets.  Congratulations. Smiley

Very cute. My daughter and wife keep begging for dog. We have decided that once our eldest cat passes away we will get one (she is a tempermental cat that likes to pee when new pets are introduced and it gets real annoying cleaning that mess out of the carpet, blech).
 
I think when we do get one it will be a Beagle or a Lab. Some friends of ours have two corgies. They are great dogs and fun to play with.

We have a beagle and they are great dogs. We used to have a basset hound though, and I'm still kind of partial to that breed!
