Let me start by saying that I have been a taping fool on my VCR for the past 2 weeks.  Survivor, Early Show interviews, Top Model, Apprentice, movies on Lifetime Movie Net, etc.
So last night I go to set up to record the debates and inadvertantly find that NOTHING has taped.  Best I can tell is that the VCR was not set on the right channel.
I went ballistic and at that very moment decided it was Tivo time for me.

I know nothing.  Do you have one? Is it hard to learn how to use it?  Where can I get the best deal?  I have already told my mom today that is ALL I want for Christmas.  She is happy because she can find one online and her shopping for me is done.

Thoughts please?

We sell Tivo machines in the Electronics Outfitter store at:
http://www.electronicsoutfitter.com/

If you go there, type "tivo dvr" in the site's search bar and the tivo stuff will come up.  We have pretty good prices if you compare shop.  Which reminds me..but I'll start a new thread for that...

Are you on cable TV?  If so, they may offer a TIVO type service.
We have Comcast Cable and when the offer came in the mail for this
added service for only $10.00 more a month, guess who jumped on it! Wink

I have no clue as to how it works, but he does,  ...and it works Cool
