I really think we as the forum need to get more active members.  We have so many sign up, but no one posts. This is not acceptible.    I think that we should either try to get more people or we should do something about the new members.  Just my 2 cents you can expand.

Delete all non-posters, or those whose posts are below 50?  Grin Just kidding.

Well, I think there are many active members out there, it's just that they post in just one section of ForumsNet (maybe Survivor or AR). Sometimes they can only log in once a week.

I advertised our Grapevine over the AR section, so far only sonic has posted here. I'm waiting for the others.  Cheesy

A domestic animal board I'm a member of regularly culls from its membership anyone who hasn't posted in a couple of months--unless the moderator knows that a member has been sick or away and unable to post.

Other boards I go to don't follow this practice.  There are positive things about both culling and about allowing anyone to remain a member.

So Jaypee is responsible for sonic posting in the grapevine.   Cool

sonic, I noticed you posting in here today.  YEA!  Please stop and introduce yourself to everyone in the thread up top.  I know nothing about you except you are an AR fan.  Glad you are becoming more active.   Smiley

Greetings...

Well, avsfanbuck, I lurk a great deal of the time and then enter into a flurry of activity.

I usually require a great deal of rest after my postings, as I find that I have used up all my social energy - so I rest, lurk, and wait until the perfect moment to strike.

If I found myself in a position where I *had* to post, it would seem too much like a job, and I would probably just lurk somewhere else.

I can't speak for the others that lurk, but (contrary to popular belief), I'm not always feeling sociable and verbose.  Then again, sometimes I'm just too lazy to post.   Wink

I'll try and be more active for ya, though, since you asked so very nicely.   Grin

Until that time...

Me, Im a regular poster, but I usually just post when it gets my attention, otherwise, whats the use?

Plus I juggle with 10 other forums thats why its hard! A moderator in a local cable channel here(Solar); gamespot.com; local gaming magazine; a wrestling forum; warcraft 3; marine aquarium; improving sex; and spongebob; Aerosmith; RA Salvatore... Yet to find a Simpsons one... anyone can recommend?

But Im proud to say this is the ones which I posted the most! Others are usually got lots of egos clashing! And I post at an average of 500 there...

Well I just logged in to post my reply.

I, for one, can go into lurker's mode for weeks. Posting on a message board isnt what I do for a living.

When I have something to say, I am glad the board is there for me to use it, and when I feel like reading only, I am glad I can come here (or on any other boards) to fulfil my need to read.

I love to read people's opinions on various topics, but I do not always post mine, as it may have been said before, or sometimes just because it's best that I keep it for myself.

If I was to be deleted from a board when I do not post for weeks, I would not re-register.  Smiley

*Forgot to say: For what I know, Forumsnet gets a lot of posts per day. The Grapevine game is the board that gets the most. So even though the Spoiler board or the In the news boards arent full of posts everyday, that doesnt mean there are only a few posts total.
