Haunted house??

Alright, I know it's close to Halloween, which might be biasing my experiences, but in the last week the WEIRDEST stuff has been happening at my house.

Backstory: We keep all the doors to the bedrooms/bathrooms closed because we just got a new dog and she likes to eat clothes.  Often I am the alone with the new dog in the house because her owner works nights and my other roommate is a social butterfly, rarely home.

A couple nights ago, it was Monday I think, was home alone and had been for several hours.  I went into the bathroom, (the door had been closed as usual) and the lights were off, but the fan was on and the lid was down.  Now, I had used that bathroom a few hours earlier.  I never put the lid down and there was no reason for that fan to be on.  I was like ok, well maybe i hit the fan switch by accident when turning off the light. As for the toilet lid being down.  Well lord only knows because I didn't do it.

Part 2: I couldn't sleep real well on tuesday  night, so about 1 Am i got up to get some juice, (both my roommates were home, but sleeping in the rooms, doors closed) I went downstairs, not needing to turn on any lights because there is a streelamp outside bright enough to light up a prison. Anyway, got my juice, went back upstairs, layed there for a while. Decided to get some more juice, went back downstairs.  All the lights in the kitchen were on.  Now i was awake and didn't hear my roommmates get up, open the doors and go downstairs (small house, we hear EVERYTHING everyone else is doing, but that's another thread Smiley)  So i turned the lights off and went back upstairs, kinda getting a little curious now.

Part three:  We keep the dog in a jennel in my one roommate (Jill's) room when no one is home or she is being aggravating.  I took a shower last night and put her in the kennel til i got out.  I went to let her out and she wouldn't come out. Which is odd, cuz usually she's HOWLING to get out of there. I thought maybe she was just tired, so i left her in there.  My roommate (S) came home for about 10 minutes then left again and the dog starts HOWLING.  So i figure she has to go outside. I let her out.  She runs back inside and is totally off the wall.  She runs up the stairs to the bedrooms. I don't think much of it, cuz like i said, all the doors are shut and she's a little doxen so she can't really get to the doorknob.  But she's up there a while.  I call her down, nothing...so i go up there and she's in S's room eating a sock.  I figure maybe the door didn't latch all the way, I haul her outta the room, shut the door myself to make sure it;s closed and brought her back downstairs. She sits for like 2 minutes and OFF she goes again, back upstairs. this time i KNOW all the doors are shut, but again she doesn't come back.  So i go up to see what's up.

She was back in S's room, eating the sock.  That door was closed, there's NO way she coulda gotten in there. She can jump, but not high enough to the doorknob.  So i just put her away.

I admit, nothing conclusive, but all this weird stuff in the last week just got me to thinking...*twilight zone music*

when i get home I will ask the roommies if they have noticed anything..odd

Years ago when I lived in another city, there was a case where a woman thought she was either haunted or going crazy and becoming forgetful, things like lights and toilet seats and food that had been eated that she didn't remember eating, etc.  Turned out there were tunnels underneath her house and someone living in them and he was able to let himself up into her house and was secretly living there too.

If strange things keep happening, a well placed web cam that records, couldn't hurt. Smiley

oh dear... er, if you recorded something paranormal, can you send them to me? or post them?  Grin

If that happened to me, I will blame it on my forgetful mind.  I tend to forget things. Cheesy

I have to agree...I would rather have a ghost than another person living in my house because just because he could get in it through tunnels.  CREEPY.
