That's something that I learned today. Let me tell you, it was really fun and fairly unexpected. I know all of you are going to agree with my parents, but there might be a chance that you'll side with me. See, I told my mother that I was going to Green Bay on Saturday because they don't care about me driving in Green Bay, as my dad used to work there I'm pretty familiar with it. But my ex-boyfriend goes to school in Milwaukee and we made plans to hang out this weekend. And my Mom wouldn't let me drive there, she freaked out enough when I went there for that concert. So, off I went to Milwaukee, story in line, friend notified of lie so as to not call and get me in trouble, etc. Everything went smoothly until my mom was doing the laundry and she found a receipt from Starbuck's in my pocket. Funny thing about the receipt saying "Milwaukee, Wisconsin" on it with the address being right by MSOE's campus. I gave her credit for figuring me out, but she grounded me anyway. And I'm SO bored.

Since I'm really bored, I illustrated a map, in case you're not familiar w/Wisconsin.

Weeeeelllll...I can't fault your parents for grounding you, but in the same shoes I'd have gone on the trip and risked it as well. You knew you took a risk and what the consequences would be if you were caught and decided it was worth it, so there ya go.

Luci, yeah, my parents still do a lot for me so I try my best to abide by their rules. But I had made plans to go see Scott and I knew my mom wouldn't let me go...so I just went. Lookign back, it was a bad idea...not to mention it cost me $12 in gas. Sad

I also have to side with your parents. It might not make much sense now, but the fact that they grounded you says a lot for the way they feel about you. If they didn't care about what happens to you(and sadly, there are parents don't) you'd be hurt.

Can your boyfriend come up to see YOU the next time? Let him use his money and gas to visit you.
