So, of the activities that you can do in your spare time (that we can actually talk about  Roll Eyes ) what do you like to do of the options given?

For me, I'd rather be on the Internet than reading or watching TV.

For me, having the Internet in my home--and I've been over this debate in my mind countless times--is like having an entire library and more in my home.

I get all my news, weather, chitchat, school ideas/supplemental materials, maps and directions, etc. from the Internet.  It can be a powerfully positive tool.

I love a good book. I can curl up with it anytime and just lean against my husband all day and just read. I love it!

Even though this 'puter has me hooked, I still like a good book, and have many to read on my shelf!

I plan to take a few of them with me next week and read at least one  Cool

I like all the options except newspaper, for I'm allergic to printer's ink
and sneeze constantly if I get to close.
Now I read the newspaper online Roll Eyes Grin

Now Rupey, I don't have any activities I cannot talk about, just is that some are very private Grin

The Internet is a wonderful world of information Cool
Anyone know how the Encyclopedia sales are doing now?

Huh This is a question to ponder.  I can't pick one.   I get up in the AM and turn on the computer.  I check mail and websites first, and at least 2-4 more times a day.   The tv is always on.....it's a habit.  I'm afraid I might miss something.   When I'm not working, I'm reading a book AND watching tv.  If I have a new magazine, I'll read it.  Newspaper?  We live in a small town with a weekly paper, and we get a "big city" newspaper at least on Sunday.  When we get them, I read them.   I guess, if I have to pick one I'll have to pick books, because I always have one handy to read in that spare moment, and while waiting at the doctor's office, etc.

The last reason is why I can wait without getting antsy, like my husband does.  He's the worst wait-er in the world.

Pocket, when I have to sit and wait for something--like waiting for the kids while they're in karate or waiting at the doctor's office, I take a crossword puzzle book with me.  It's one of my favorite pasttimes.  (I also keep one in my bathroom.  Wink )

When I don't have my crossword puzzle book with me, I'll write down a word on a sheet of paper and see how many words I can make from it.  When I was waiting for a pre-op appointment with my gyn., I made about 75 words out of the word "hysterectomy!"

That was tough, but I have to choose a good book. It's cheap (after computing the times you spend on the Internet, electricity, etc. versus a cheap book), you can take it anywhere, you can throw it if you hate it without worrying if it's broken, your maintenance on books is low, while you get tons of viruses from the Net if you're not careful.

So I say a good book (I think I said that already).
