Yep, a Hannukah thread is a good idea. All I know is that it has to do with a festival of lights and the Macabbean revolt. (Sonic, am I even close?) It's a part of Jewish history that isn't covered in the Bible. It's intertestimental, I believe.

There are many different people of many different religions in this forum. We need to remember to be respectful and tolerant of each other. It is ok to have a Christmas thread (or several) and it is ok to have a Chanukah thread (or several). It's not ok to come into each other's threads and make war with each other over your varying beliefs. People happily celebrating one holiday does not take away from or diminish people happily celebrating a different holiday. Each of you enjoy your special days and if you don't celebrate another's special day, don't worry about it.
