Most of you already know about the LaRocca family and what we are trying to do for them, but for those that don't (and hopefully for those that you forward this to to get the word out), here's the rundown:

Susan and David LaRocca began a family many years ago and have since adopted 10 special needs children, ranging from fetal alcohol syndrome to Downs Syndrome and cerebral palsy. The children are from all over the world. Susan's entire life is raising and educating these children that for most of them, will never leave home.
Aside from already being insufficient for their needs (they have two tiny bathrooms and a kitchen more suited for an apartment than a family of 12...13 when one son is home from college), recent plumbing issues have made a number of rooms uninhabitable and they just can't afford all the repairs the house needs (a good bit of their income goes towards a variety of therapies for the children).
They essentially have no A/C because their unit can't keep up, and it sucks electricity. They cool the house with fans and only use one light bulb in each room to save costs on bulbs and power. The plumbing issues have also taken a toll on their storage space. As you can imagine, 10 kids ranging in age from 4 to 18 have a LOT of clothing and toys, and they have very little place to put them.
Even with all the frustrations and difficulties that come with the life they've
chosen, you've probably never met a happier, more loving family, which is the real reason they need our help.

Friends of the family, with the LaRocca's consent, have sent in an application to ABC to have their house presented on Extreme Makeover - Home Edition. You've probably seen it on Sunday nights, and if so, you realize how perfect the LaRoccas are for this show...or moreso, how perfect the show is for them. In addition to the application, we are trying to get 1,000 emails sent to ABC expressing an interest in seeing them on the show. All we need is a short email (unlike this one) with LaRocca in the subject line. You don't have to recap their story because it is already on the application and video that was sent. Just state that they would be great candidates and that you want to see them on the program. The address is [email protected].
