In case you're still battling with your tooth pain (which, hopefully, you're not) I got confirmation from a pharmacist today that you can take up to three 200 mg each of Ibuprofen every six hours to relieve pain.  She said it's considered prescription strength.
 
I have a killer non-strep sore throat and earache and no less than three Ibuprofen tablets will relieve the pain.

Sorry you aren't feeling well.   Sad
 
I'm over the toothache finally.  Or maybe it's because I have other pains that are taking its place and I'm focused on those.  
 
On Christmas night I was getting up out of a chair and my left knee popped out of the socket and then back in again. It's done that several times before over the years.  But it's painful as heck and is very very sore for about a week afterward.  
 
As if that wasn't bad enough, the very next day I was getting out of the shower and banged my right foot on the side of the tub.  Jammed the middle toe and it is now purple.  So yesterday I was hobbling around like I'm sure I4S is doing.  
 
Then there's what I'm sure is a sinus infection for the past 2 weeks.  I wish I had stock in Kleenex.  
 
All that but I am smiling and not complaining.  Ya'll are surely gonna have to remind me of my new year's resolution throughout this year.   Wink

LL, You need to be doing this right now... Lying on Reichen's sofa in front of the first fire in his fireplace since he moved in.  Leftovers in the fridge for dinner, hot toddy in hand.   Wink
It's the perfect ending of the last 24 hours spent in front of the cold  (and I do mean COLD!!) slot machines in Las Vegas.   Sad

Do you mean it was cold temperature wise or cold as in heartless?   Wink  Me thinks the slots weren't cooperating.

I came back to this thread, checking to remember when my sore throat had started because I STILL have it and it is very painful.  It actually started bothering me on the 23rd of December.  Today marks the 10th day of severe throat pain.  Something isn't right.  This doesn't feel like a typical sore throat.
 
Last week a strep test was done and came out negative.  Tomorrow, I'm going to see the doctor.  This can't be normal.  I'm scared that this might be mono...or worse.  Embarassed

He said it looks like an infection and wrote me a prescription for antibiotics and gave me some Allegra.  In the meantime, I have his permission to keep popping three Ibubrofen tablets every four hours until the pain starts to subside.
