Many of you know my wife, ae_rachel. Recently she has been having complications with her pregnancy. She went to the emergency room a few days ago, and the doctor put her on bedrest. It seems she was having premature contractions. Please keep her and our children in your thoughts and prayers. She is unable to get out of bed other than to go to the bathroom. Please, please be praying for her. Thank you.

P.S. She says hi to all her forum friends and wishes you all the best. And Rhune, she says she hopes your pregnancy is going well.

Thank you for letting us know and tell Rachel thank you for having someone let us know.  I'm sorry to hear she's on bedrest, I know from firsthand experience that bedrest SUCKS.  Most people with twins don't make it to their due dates, but I will keep her in my good thoughts and wishes that she makes it to a point where it's safe to deliver them and that there are no serious complications anywhere along the way.

Absolutely, she and the babies are in my prayers.  I've been concerned about her.
Tell her she is definitely in my prayers, along with the babies and you.

Does she have plenty to read?  A  DVD Player, CD Player, anything to keep her occupied.

I have  missed her being on here lately, but chalked it up to the holidays.

Sending prayers and best wishes to all of you Cool

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your children Rachel!  I am sure all will be well.  Bedrest is more common that people want to think!

Soon you will have two beautiful babies to love!

True enough, I did bed rest with both my boys.  I did 2 months of bed rest with the first one (majorly sucked), and about 2 weeks of bedrest with the second.

Bed rest means you are supposed to stay in your bed laying down and resting at all times.  Strict bed rest means you are only allowed to get up to go to the bathroom and are even supposed to eat laying in your bed.  The worst for me was at the end of my first pregnancy I was only allowed to lay in bed on my left side and not supposed to get up for anything (other than bathroom).  It realllllllllly sucked.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Rach is pretty miserable right now. I hooked up the DVD and VCR to a TV and brought them into our room. She's really looking forward to her Amazing Race and the premiere of Alias. Other than that, she just kinda lays there and reads.

Please continue to keep her in your prayers. So far there have been no other complications, but you just never know especially when it comes to twins.

Thanks everyone.
