Oh dear, oh dear! What in the world can I do after the pain goes away to keep him occupied?

He is an outdoors, golfing guy! All I can think of at this moment is to pray for a blizzard so he won't want to golf! Our weather can sometimes be in the high 70's for weeks, even at this time of year! Roll Eyes

Crutches? A Walker? Hmmm, this could be very interesting before it gets worse Roll Eyes

Ok, I give, the TV is his for 8 weeks! Golf Channel, Playoff Games, Poker Channel, Old Westerns!

Anything and everything he points to will be his for the asking until he can get outside and back on the Golf Course!

If any of you have any suggestions on keeping him occupied , please do not hesitate to reply to this post Cool

Get him a playstation 2 with a golf game. They have some great ones out there now. It's something he can play with his hands and his imagination while still laying down.

Well I am sure he will be fine what you can do is get him one of the putter games with the autmatic retuners he can play that when he is laying down maybe?? You can also do something where you take him out and drive him around the greens while you play golf, I think he would enjoy watching you and being outdoors. He could stay in the golf cart and you play. Grin

Having surgery on both sides of the foot sounds painful. I've no doubt next weekend he will be in the reclining chair and I will be the gofer! I dont' mind, when I've been in the hospital he's stayed right with me.
He's a good nurse to me Kiss

The only dilema will be the weather. In a couple of weeks if we have upper 79 weather, he will want to go play golf.

Avs, thanks for the idea, take him on the golf cart and I play! That will work, for I've intended to get out my clubs this year and start playing again!

A Game Boy, I'm not so sure Roll Eyes

he would use it while he is down but then it would be a waste, I think! I do buy the games for the Grandson, they aren't cheap!

Avs, he has an electric putter with the return.
No doubt it will be used often Wink

We do watch Lifetime Movies. As for the Nanny, we watched it when it was on a few years ago.
AFTER, we got past that voice! Yikes!

Maybe we'll get out the Monopoly Game, Dominoes or Parcheesi!
As of now, he is having second thoughts about it Lips Sealed

We'll go to the doctor on Wednesday and get it all worked through or worked out in his head. He says if he isn't going to be able to do all the things he now does, he wil live with the pain! MEN Undecided

There are quite a few golf games for the computer too, Lucy.
I can't sit for long so my laptop comes in handy as I am lying on the sofa when I use it.
And being able to get out of the house is also a big help in keeping the spirits up!

I can surely sympathize luci. While I was down for that 3 weeks, I used crutches but spent most of my time on the sofa watching DVD's and reading books. One of the worse things though is feeling like I couldn't do things for myself. One suggestion is stock a small cooler with drinks and snacks so Mr. L doesn't have to ring a bell everytime he wants some water. My best to you both.

I4S, if I stock a cooler for him, he'll wanmt it full of beer! Roll Eyes

I will take him for drives and maybe after two weeks we can go to a movie. We have a wherel chair here that we use for my Mom, also a walker he can use if he wants.

I'm sure his recliner will get the most activity while he recoups Cool
