Alot of my posts in the grapevine are taken the wrong way.....I don't mean to offend anyone here, and if I do please pm me with a nice message and I will appologize. Recently I was called immature for posting my aim screen name. I didn't find this immature. And my comment on George Bush was my opinion. I feel that I am allowed to have an opinion, and don't mind if you don't like it if my opinion isn't to your liking, becuase you probably have opinions too that I might not agree with. I bring this up because Bumper sent me a message a little while back that was VERY offensive. I didn't appreciate it at all.....If you thought I was immature just say it, you don't have to offend me. I bring this up because I reread the message and found it alot more offensive than I did when I first read it. You don't have to appologize, but if anyone has a problem with me please say it in a respectful manner. Sad

I know I didn't offend you, but I don't think anyone regardless of membership level should criticize anyone or anything said here. We're just here to talk about the issues, we all share a love for reality TV. So please be nice. Wink

I personally don't think what other people do is ANY mods business if it doesn't affect other people's experience here. So someone has a different opinion, Suck it up and face that there are other people here. That may have come off rude, but its the truth. Lilweird was someone to be repremanded, not Jenna.

I've heard enough of this to know what is going on here.

Personally, I don't think it was right. Different people have different opinions. I've posted on different boards for quite a while, and sometimes people's opinions really tick me off. But I don't critisize them for it. Sad

Well, yeah, and I didn't get that either.

I mean, if someone wants your AIM user name that bad, they'll look for it anyway. And there is a block...

I must've missed the aim name thing. I have no idea what that was about.

Bumper is the moderator of this forum. If the message you're talking about was a PM, then it shouldn't be discussed here. PMs are private. If you have a problem with Bumper, maybe you should PM him back.

We are all entitled to our opinion, but when a person posts something they are so thrilled and happy about getting to do, why should any of us shoot their dream down?
So if your comments are about my taking up for AVS, right on girl.!
I always will as long as he and I are on this forum. He has been a member here for a year or more and has done nothing but present himself as a well mannered respectful, intelligent, caring young man with plans for hi future and a lot of love for his family and his country. He is 15.

As for your AIM name, give it to whomever you want. I'm looking ahead at the safety factor and if you don't it's your life.......................

We've all made mistakes and posted things that do not sound right when read by another person. We learn by a mistake or two!

No names were mentioned in the post I replied to, but obviously the shoe fits. So be it!

Remember this in posting; "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"

P.S. .....and your comments about Bumper should have been taken up with him in the form of a pm, and only him, not bring it into the forum. Wasn't he nice enough to send you a PM? Most of us have been on this forum and others with Bumper for more than 4 years and if need be, we will take up for him. But we won't need to, he can and will fend very well for himself!

How about an apology to AVS? Did that happen!

I've already received several PM's about this thread you started and one told me to not get defensive.

I rarely use the PM thing. My message to Jenna was sent via PRIVATE MESSAGE, not posted in the public forum. It was not meant to be a flame, it was offered in the context of ADVICE concerning THINKING a little longer before posting some things that she might regret later. I did mention maturity in the context of making the decision to post and reveal certain information. I also told her that she had nothing to apologize for.

The fact that Jenna has now chosen to come out like some drama queen and make this a very public issue indicates to me that she does have some difficulty understanding the term maturity.

This thread will now be locked. There is no benefit in others fanning the flames.

Jenna if you have a concern or question, PM me.

Unlocked this briefly to put in my own 2 cents. (Admin's perogative)

My personal advice would be for Jenna and Bumper to talk any differences out in private. It's ok for Bumper to send someone a private message if he is concerned about what they are posting, that's not being mean or heavy handed, it's trying to talk to someone when they are concerned. Jenna has posted a lot of personal information in posts recently, to the point where people (not just Bumper) have expressed concern for her safety to me. There are some not very nice people on the internet who WILL take that kind of information and use it if they can. Is it possible Bumper came across heavy handed in his message to her? Sure, Bumper can come across that way sometimes, and everyone takes "tone of voice" differently in messages and sometimes not as they were intended when written. Bumper can come across gruffly at times, but I can guarantee that his message to her was motivated out of concern and not out of being mean. What concerns me is that now this has been turned into a public thing when it really shouldn't have, with people not directly involved becoming upset and taking "sides", which needs to stop. Bumper is concerned about what Jenna is posting, Jenna doesn't like how he talked to her about it, and that should be between the two of them to work out. Neither of them is a "bad person" and I am sure this is something they can work out like adults.
