Confirmed: Prince Charles to Marry Cameilla!

Buckingham Palace tonight confirmed that Prince Charles and his long time Lover Cameilla Parker Bowles will marry on April 8th at  Windsor Castle!
 
 
I've never been overly fussed on the Royal family however as australia is still( sadly) a member of the commonwealth it creates a deal of interest!
 
For me it pretty confirms that not only will Prince Charles never be King but it shows that the Royal family might be "chilling out" a bit and moving into the 21st century!
 
I feel that the Queen will abdicate in about 4 years.....when William is 26.....that is how old she was when she began her reighn as Queen Elizabeth the 2nd!
 
I don't like Cameilla at all.........I on one hand congratulate Charles for never really giving up on the women he obviously truly loved....if only the Royal family 20 years ago allowed him to marry who he wanted they may well be in  a better position now....however on the other hand....cameilla should have damn well backed off when he married Diana and given their marriage a fair bloody go! Diana....like her or not...had her emotional and mental problems howver i believe if Cameiila had been far far away and moved on Dianas troubles may never have been!
 
There are so many different opinions all quite confusing. As I said..... Good for Charles for staying with the woman he loves but  maybe if she had been well and truly out of the picture....the woman he truly loves could have been Diana? Also....has his and Cameilla relationship lasted only because it was forbidden?.....would those two stayed together happily if they had been allowed Marry 25 years ago?
 
Who knows....and does anyone really care?

The shabby way Diana was treated tarnished the Royal family in my eyes.  I think she was too young and naive to know what she was getting into.   If Charles needed to marry and have heirs, he should have married someone who wanted the title and didn't really care if he had mistresses.    He obviously couldn't relate to a young, naive, needy girl like Diana.  
 
As for Charles and Camilla, I couldn't care less, really.

I think that they should marry, be happy, and allow William to succeed the Queen as monarch. Just my opinion.

The Queen was 25 when she took the throne.  First of all, Charles says he doesn't want to be King.  William is the better choice and Charles know this also.

I hope they just skip Charles. He's worthless anyway
 
But really, no one cares anymore, its not like it was in the 80's.  No is enraptured by the royals anymore.  ALl their skeletons came out and got them

Charles was in love with Camilla 'way before he and Diana married.  He never stopped loving her.  I've never liked him at all.  Diana referred to Camilla as "the Rotweiler."  
 
Looks like the Rotweiler got what she wanted after all these years.

When I saw this news item it made me miss my Aunt Betty, who lives in England.  She called me the day Diana was killed and we talked about the Royal Family for about 3 hours.  I tried to call her every month and we discussed the happenings in the world.  She watched the telly for hours, and enjoyed talking about world events with an American.  She has only her daughter left in England.  I only met her once in person while on a tour of Europe.  She is now in the late stage of Alzheimers.  I really wanted to call her and talk about this news.  Cry  She wouldn't have liked it.  Smiley

80% of Australians dislike camilla immensely.....says a news poll this morning.
 
The news of their marriage has not gone over too well here. However most a pleased that the Crown will be passed to William and give Charles the big miss!
 
Camilla will have the title of " her Royal Highness, Duchess of Cornwell".
 
It's not the fact that she is a divorcee or even that she is a frumpy, hideous looking woman that people don't like........it's because SHE was and always has been in the picture! The fact that Charles is marrying his long time mistress is what makes everyone blood boil!
 
Alot of people are saying that Camilla should have backed well off when Charles married Diana.....others are saying that Charles wasn't exactly an angel either which of course is true however what man would ever say no to a mistress who continues to hang around, throw herself at him and make herself available to him at any time? Charles knew he could have his cake and eat it too!
 
The word "hussy" has been used regularly today to describe Camilla.
 
Maybe she should just remember what happened to Henry the 8ths 2nd wife!

Yeah I hope Charles doesn't become King..
I wonder if Epicoples have to confess?  "As head of the church i had an adulterous affair with a woman who was also married.  I then divorced my wife to be with her.  Then *cough cough* my ex dies in a tragic "accident" And now i want to marry the hooker..err...heffer..errr...lady of my dreams.  OK?"
 
NOT.  Since when is adultery acceptable just cuz your rich? I hate that about famous people Angry

Bec and Angel, you took the words right out of my mouth!  I can't believe the Episcopal church is just looking the other way.  Although...didn't Henry the 8th start the Church of England because the Catholic church frowned upon his divorces?

Charles doesn't want to be King, plain and simple.  I do believe he waited until William was old enough to take over should the Queen step down.
 
Charles should have married a woman like Fergie.
