I have no plans right now,
Desperately trying to think of a gift for the bf.  *sigh* men are so hard to shop for.  I don't want to get power tools for VAlentine's day, but they are totally uninterested in romantic stuff

I think he's getting me a manicure, i certainly can live with that!

I am actually going to a charity dinner/dance tomorrow with a group of friends but I refuse to admit that it has anything to do with Valentines Day! Smiley

He doesn't listen to CD's, he saw Ray in the theater, i think he liked it, but i don't know that he would want to own it.

He likes two things, pool and bowling. and he owns everything having to do with either one

With Mr L on crutches and stitches in his foot, now what would you think we're doing?  It's OK, Home, fireplace and being comfy together is perfect!

IF it doesn't rain this weekend, we may venture out to visit my Mom and also visit with the children for a bit.  They haven't seen him since the surgery or on the crutches. Ages 2,4,7,12, & 14, at the most, they will be curious Shocked

Family, that's great plans  Kiss

Jonathan and I are staying in this Valentine's Day seeing as I can't go out! But I'm content because we will soon have two babies to keep me on my toes! I know for sure we are renting a movie and he's making dinner, but he won't tell me what he's making! Should be a fun evening in.

Rachel,

Here's my poke my nose in your business :twocents: advice on delivery.

When they offer you pain relief, they will offer you 2 types.  One is the epidural, TAKE IT!  The epidural is all that and a bag of chips.  The other is a shot, DON'T take it.  The shot is a narcotic and will make you feel like you are drunk and no longer really in control of the situation.  It will only help relieve some pain for a brief time.  It's not worth it, the pain relief it provides will wear off faster than the drunken feeling, so after about 20 minutes you'll feel drunk and in pain.  I made that mistake with my first child, and have tried to pass that info along to everyone I know since.

Secondly, when they offer to take the babies to the nursery for the night or let you keep them in your room, do not ignore how tired and crappy you feel from just giving birth and allow your guilt to talk you into keeping the babies in the room for the night.  You NEED that sleep, it's the last sleep you are gonna get. The babies are *safe* in the nursery by people who have a lot of experience taking care of new babies and are coherent and awake to do so.  Guilt will tell you that you must have your babies in your room, don't listen.  Brand new babies wake constantly and cry or just make non-stop little noises.  You will not sleep at all.  If you talk yourself into keeping the babies in your room and you find out you are exhausted and miserable, don't be shy to hit that button and call the nurse to come get them.  This doesn't make you a bad mom, it makes you someone who is temporarily giving your babies into the care of a trained professional so you can get some much needed sleep and reasonably take care of your children like you need to.  To recognize you are too exhausted to do it is not a failing, that's just being smart.  Labor is well...LABOR... it's hard hard work.  It's ok to be tired afterward, even too tired.  10 years from now your babies won't remember that they spent the night in the nursery, nor will they love you any less for doing it. Wink
