Do you wear glasses?

I swear, my eyes--well, ONE of them, anyway--keep getting worse as I grow older.  I wear glasses just to read.

I have never worn glasses, but when I was younger (around the age of 6), I really wanted to wear them, so I lied on my eye test, and still didn't need them.  I have heard that some students in my classes have to wear glasses because they lied on eye tests when they were younger, and now have eye problems.  So I'm thankful I didn't damage my eyes because I just wanted to wear them.

I have worn glasses at times, but switched to contacts years ago.  I'd love to get the lasik eventually.  Both my father and my step-mom have had that done and have been quite happy with the results.

What  do smashing looking ones look like?  Rectangular?  Dark frames?  Wire frames?

One gets the idea after age 40 that phone books print too small to read with the "nekked" eye.
Hark!  Time for reading glasses!  I tried contacts but my left and right brain could not get together [No jokes, Please!] and my vision was  blurred.  I know it takes time but that made me feel awful, seeing blurs.  Patience is not mine Roll Eyes
My reading glasses are small frames/gold rims and most people don't notice I have them on!

Our friend had laser surgery a few years ago and it went bad, for she
still has blurred vision, which is worse than before the laser.
Maybe she was not a candidate at all.
My Opthomoligist says I'm not!
My son had it done a few months ago and loves the results.

I have worn glasses since i was ten (am 24 now) I refuse to get contacts because the thought of putting something in my eye freaks me out way too much.

I like the glasses i have now, the lenses are very small, just barely cover my field of vision and they have the titanium frames (meaning the frames aren't AROUND the lenses, they are built into them) and they are very bendable so they don't stretch out and i dounbt i could break them if i tried

I've worn glasses most of my life.   I couldn't wear contacts even if I could get past the act of putting them in my eyes.  My eyes stay too dry.

I wear the smallest frame I can with my prescription.  Are they cool?  I doubt it.  At my age cool is being able to see at all!

I've worn glasses since i was 6... I don't think I'm going to change any time soon either.  Lips Sealed I'm too afraid of contacts... who would want to stick something in their eye? And laser surgery, I'd be too afraid that it would go wrong.

I'll just stay with my glasses...

I'm a firm believer in my contacts Smiley I've found they have actually improved my eyesight over the years. However, I have been wearing glasses throughout most of my bedrest. I just have squarish frames. I don't love them, I don't hate them... it's a necessity though!
