UPDATE On RACHEL - March 7, 2005

Thank you so much for your concern for my family. Rach came out of surgery just fine and we have a healthy baby girl 2 lbs. 8 oz. We are heartbroken over the loss of our son but we rely on our faith in God and our family and friends to bring us through. We appreciate all the prayers you all are saying for our family.  
 
Rach was hospitalized on Monday because she was experiencing heavy contractions, one of the baby's was in a bad position, and the boy's heartbeat was beginning to fail. we are blessed to have gotten her there so quickly. Less than an hour after she had settled in, she started experiencing immediate and hard contractions. They took her into surgery to perform an immediate c-sec. one baby had become entangled in his umbilical cord and his heart was so small it failed him.  
 
Rachel is asleep right now and doing well. Our daughter Sydney Grace is doing well also. She will need to stay in the hospital until she reaches a healthy weight, but we are so blessed to have her. it's incredible that you can love someone so much.  
 
rachel would love to hear from all you i'm sure. i will certainly tell her everyone's sentiments.

Rachel and Jonathan, I'm sure your baby boy is now with the side of God for He loved all His children....
 
may your daughter Sydney fill up the love that her twin would have given you if he had survived....  
 
and may you get through this tragedy and make your family even stronger and more filled with love... :hug:

Sydney Grace is such a beautiful name.  Thank God for her little life.  I hope that Rachel recovers quickly from her C-section and that God's love and the love of her family will help her through the tragic loss of her son.

Rachel and Sydney Grace will continue to be in my prayers, and I hope Sydney will gain and thrive.  On the loss of your son,   I know all this is a terrible strain on you all, Jonathon, but please know there are many, many people praying for the health and welfare of your little family.  God bless you all.

A beautiful name, for a beautiful daughter I'm sure.  Please give Rachel our hugs and hugs for you as well.  This is one of the toughest things you'll go through in life.  If you can weather this together you can weather anything.  I will be thinking of you all.

My most sincere thoughts and prayers are with you and Rachel at this time.  I am so sorry for the loss of your son.  I think the name you chose for your daughter is absolutely beautiful and I know she will help get you through this.

Please tell Rachel that we send her our love and support.  I am so excited for both of you to have a beautiful baby girl.  
 
I am sorry too for the loss of your son and send lots of hugs for both of you.  Your daughter's name is beautiful.    
 
Please do ask here if you have questions about wee little babies.  There are some of us who have had preemies and know about that special experience.  :hug:  Tongue

Sorry about the loss of your son,I know you will always keep him in your heart....
My daughter had twins...10 weeks premature....2lbs7ozs and 3lbs7oz...they are  
now 15 months old...So if you need any information you just need to ask......
Give Rachel my love...Jonathan enjoy your beautiful family...I am sure you will be
