The differnce between the " MIss USA" pageant and the "Miss America" pageant?

I've just been watching "The View"....( it's on here very early in the morning) and they were talking about how Donald Trumo wants to buy "Miss America" as he already owns "Miss USA"

I just can't understand what the difference is between the two.....I would have thought that being Miss USA was the same as being Miss America!

excuse my aussie blondeness but i just can't get my head around this one!

I don't think there is a difference. I just think they are owned by different companies and it's a way to have it twice a year and make more money.

Miss America is by far the more popular show (though popularity has been declining) which is probably why trumpy wants to buy it

??.....we were there! It was held at our local shopping centre and as "Miss Universe" doesn't come to your neighbourhood on a regular basis we decided to check her out!

The crowd was huge....mostly men of course......and all was going well until.........she had a wardrobe malfunction! Naturally there were whistles and cheering but she handled it all very well. Personally I couldn't see what the big deal was......we saw pretty much just as much of her during the swimsuit segment of Miss universe!

I have no idea how or where they met all I can say is she has bad taste with both men and wedding dresses!!!! I don't care how much that thing cost.....it was the most hideous wedding dress I've ever seen!

anyways... which competition does USA's representative for the Miss World and Miss International comes from?

here locally we also have a lot 3 different pageants... and the biggest one is Binibining Pilipinas (Miss Philippines) where they get our representatives for Miss Universe, World and International...

wow... Trump must be really rich.. and love young girls around... Grin
