the tar board seems to be the liveliest, while the survivor section seems dormant.

I guess TAR is more popular than Survivor around here.

I wouldn't say that.  I would say there are more TAR posters than Survivor posters.  Also the skew audience of TAR posters here is much younger.  Survivor fans here tend to be older, have jobs, kids and run households.  We don't have as much time on our hands to post as much.  
 
But we are still AVID and RABID fans.  lol
