Out of the Office

I will be gone tomorrow which is Survivor Wednesday. Please hold the fort down.  
 
Our company is doing a quote unquote "Clean-up Day".  Do you ever see prisoners on the side of the road picking up trash?  Well, that is what we will be doing in bright orange t-shirts.  
 
At 7:30 in the morning we will get a tshirt and a sticker picker upper or a clasp/grasp picker upper.  We will have rides to use the facilities and a brown bag lunch with plenty of water and Pepsi products.  
 
Dang, I forgot to go to the store for something to add to the Pepsi.   Cheesy
 
So just enjoy your day and know that I am slaving for the betterment of society.

OH. MY. GOD. I have never worked so hard in my life.  We started out at 8:00 in our orange t-shirts, caps, gloves and stabbers or clenchers.  Four groups of 5-6.  I was in an all gal group of 6 and we were hilarious.  You have never heard such bitching and moaning.  One in particular, Jan.  She only held the bag open for trash.  Every 10 minutes she would say "We ONLY have such and such more hours...", "I'm tired",  "I'm hungry", "I'm cold", etc.  The weather was gorgeous and there was a nice breeze.  
 
I cannot begin to tell you what all people will throw their car windows.    Shocked    We found enough car parts to build one ourselves.  Beer and wine bottles galore, underwear, diapers, shoes, CDs, video tapes. I won't go into some of the nastier stuff.    Wink
 
When we took our lunch break (30 minutes), our group had covered 2 miles and throughout the afternoon covered 4 more.  We finished up around 3:30 and everyone was exhausted.  I don't have the final count of bags but it was 200 by lunch so I would guess close to 600.  
 
I'm just glad it's OVER.  Spent the evening soaking my feet and ankles in epsom salts.   lol
