I am so sorry that you lost your good friend today. I know that as we get a little older losing friends and loved ones becomes an all too common occurence in our lives. The loss alone is unbearable let alone the fact that you were there with your friend and unable to save him. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time and that all of us here at FN consider you to be our friend.

I do have to admit that when I first read it to my husband, he said, "what did they do, drag him the other 13 holes"?

Then feeling guilty he said, "I'm sorry I shouldn't have said that for it would be a devastating thing to have a friend die right in front of your eyes and not be able to do anything to save him".

Now I've told him it was an April Fool's Day prank and his words were,
"OH GAWD"!

I was worried about Mr. L , him being a golfer and all. That was an old golf joke that has been around for a while and I was worried that he would remember the punch line and that would be the end of the prank. Grin
