See what Rhune & Reset steering me in the direction of this Laptop did for me! It stays on the Serving Bar between Kitchen and Family Room. If I'm home I do household chores and stop by on my way back and forth from laundry room, dishwasher, stove, yardwork, etc., and read and post! What can I say? Grin

Yes, I am a Speed Reader, also fairly fast typer with simple sentences!
At my age, I've figured if I have something to say I'd better get it said, not knowing what tomorrow may bring or if I'll have one Roll Eyes

When I come on late, I'm usually tired and need to shut up and close it down, for night time gets me in trouble sometimes Lips Sealed

So I'm staying off here late at night!

If I'm blunt on issues, that's just me, but sure NEVER mean to hurt anyone! Know this always!

Last year as many of you know was a tough one for me. I stayed in the house mostly and didn't walk or even get in the pool much. I had health issues, A Mother I'd just given up to a Nursing Facility, Wings got so sick, which depressed me even more. By Summer's end we all started looking for the arrival of new baby members to the Forum. Keeping Rhune's secret for months was tough, for I was so excited.
Then Rachel's baby girl arrived, and now
Rhune's little Blake.
All God's sign that life goes on.

Some of us have been on a forum together for about 4 years, with almost 3 yrs being here at Forumsnet.

We've elected a President twice, cried together as we saw our country being devastated by Terrorists on
9-11. We came together as Americans, Christians and Forum friends. Our foreign Forum friends cried with us and felt our horror also, as we felt theirs after the Tsunami and past tragedies in their part of the world.
We've tried rapists, murderers, celebrities, along with burying a few! We've been a Cyber Family Wink

I don't have all the data at my hands right now as to what all has gone down in History, but during these past 3 years, we voiced our opinions about the goings on in the world, good and bad! I, as you know am never without opinion! .........and yes, sometimes I should keep my fingers still!!! Wink

At times I've even been told I should GET A LIFE. Well, for those of you wondering, I DO have a life and a very good one at that! When my children were growing up I spent my time being involved with their activities, PTA, Room Mother, Chairman of the Float Commite several years, Secretary of this, Finance Chairman of that, weekly apt to have my hair done. YOu name it, I was a member of it or doing something to help. Both my children were very active in school activities, so this gave me a busy life!
At this stage, I want nothing standing except myself!! Yes, I still have my hair done, sometimes, get pedicures and manicures, but when I want, NOT when I HAVE to because of a set time!! Am I a member of any clubs, only the church I was baptised in at age 8 yrs.

Before our marriage I was single for 7 yrs. I was a Sales Rep for a major Cosmetic Company and traveled all over the USA. I made and still have friends in just about every state and ALWAYS are in touch with them. Those friends along with ones my husband and I have made on our travels make a wide circle of people we stay in touch with and talk on the phone, email and visit!

We live close to our children and Grandchildren, have time to visit with them and enjoy the kid's activities, get together for birthdays, holidays, etc. Our friends from 1st grade up also live close and we see some of those couples on a regular basis as well. We travel quite often. As Mr L had foot surgery in January and we've stayed close so he would heal properly and not risk a fall! He's been given a release so we're ready to roll now.

I have hobbies as I love to read, love movies, do crafts as making an arrangement or wreath for the door for the Seasons we celebrate. Folks say they like to drive by our house and see what I have on the door and porch each season. I make some for my Daughter and Daughter-in-Law. Sometimes we take the boat to the lake or stay home and swim in the pool. There is a beautiful park nearby we enjoy walking to and walking around.
Friends from out of state come to visit or we go there. We are beginning to slow down a bit on travel, but also have many places we would like to visit as time permits. When we leave I have to make sure my Daughter and Son will be available to check on my Mom, and are easy to find if there should be an emergency.

All of this, along with my husbands golfing, we stay very busy! As busy as we/I want to be! At this stage of my life, if I were any busier my body couldn't take it! Wink

All of this, along with visiting here
with Forum Friends is my life and I LOVE it Cool

So again, I thank you for the nice surprize of this thread, Genius. Wink

I knew it was over 7500, but have no clue what the number is until I end this post and look Shocked

Oh and for those of you wanting to pass me, go for it!
We're leaving on April 14th and will return April 25th!
So, get to posting :dance:
