Sticking up for your friends...

I'm sure everyone here's done it before..... when a friend needs your help, you always stick up for them right?  Grin

Today something like that happened... me and my two best friends are all in the Science class, ok? One of my friends sits right in back of me, and the other one is two tables away. The teacher was handing back our tests from yesterday, and all we did was ask her what her score is, and this one guy in front of me, in back of her, starts cussing her out!

He actually said "Shut the f' up, you f'in retard!" And of course, she got mad, so he kept on going!! And then me and my other best friend, we said real loud, "He's calling her names back here!" And then, he denied it. "I didn't say anything!!" blah blah blah.  Angry

So by this time we were all mad, and all of a sudden, I blurted out "I HEARD YOU SAY IT!". Really loud. And usually, I don't say anything at school. I think I scared everyone really....  Roll Eyes

The worst part is is that my friend has depression, and has been going to the doctor for it, and she told the science teacher, he says "he won't believe it unless one of her parents comes in".  Roll Eyes

Ok I'm done ranting.... I'll be surprised if anyone reads all that.... anyway, has anyone else here been in those kinds of situations?

I agree, it's important to stick up for your friends when they are being unfairly attacked by someone.

Heather, I would have done and have done the same thing!
In my humble opinion, you were right!  Wink

Good for you, Heather!  I know it can be scary and even intimidating to speak up when you're not used to doing it.  But you did a good thing by sticking up for your friend, and you should feel proud of yourself.  And your friend is lucky to have you on her side! Cool

^^ LOL What does that mean?  Cheesy

(Thanks everyone, but now that teacher's being a jerk! He told her today, "He doesn't want anymore 'fits' from her." Like it was her fault.  Roll Eyes)

Here's a frustrating and real story.

My classmate had a stomachache and another girl accompanied her to the bathroom. It was PE and we have this rather sacarstic teacher. So anyway, the two of them returned and were late, and the teacher wanted them to do push-ups as a punishment, coz he thought that they were faking it and creating some stupid excuse. So anyway, another girl in my class confronted the teacher at the end of the lesson and spoke up for the sick girl. I think what she has was rather heroic, while the rest of us only cursed behind his back.

^^ PE sucks.  Lips Sealed

Seriously though that reminds me of the teacher over at the elementary school i went to. (My brother goes there now) Ok, this was back when i was in the 2nd grade, I fell or something and broke my shoulder bone... the gym teacher just told me "It's ok get back up"... to a 2nd grader with a broken bone.

Then again, in 1st grade I broke my wrist. And I didn't even cry one bit, lol.

I must have crappy bones.  Lips Sealed
