Sorry to be late with this synop, but I started school this week and life is hectic..

This episode is NOT one of my favorites.  Starts with Boone and Locke bringing Claire back to the caves.  Thing is, Claire doesn't remember anyone there.  Has no idea where she's been or who she was with.  Doesn't remember the plane crash, doesn't realize how far along her pregnancy is.  The last "however many days they've been there" are pretty much erased from her memory.

The flashback bits in this episode are of Charlie in the UK.  He starts out in a bar trying to hook up with some rich girls to get the money to buy more drugs (as he and his friend have just used up their last bit).   I'm really not sure what the purpose of this episodes flashbacks is, as I've never seen how it really relates to anything - except perhaps that we're supposed to see that he wants to change and wants this to be a "real" relationship with Claire.  It's one of those "he hooks up with the rich girl to get money, falls for her, dad gets him a job with the company, he screws it up, steals something from the house, gets caught, and rich girl dumps him."  He really did fall for the girl, but totally screwed it up because of the drug addiction.  THAT's the gist of the whole thing.

The other thing that happens, after Claire comes back, is that Charlie runs into Ethan in the woods.  Ethan tells Charlie that if he doesn't get Claire back, he's going to start killing off the survivors one at a time.. until they give her back.  Charlie tells the others.  They set up booby traps, alarms, sentry watches, etc.  Still somehow Ethan gets into camp and kills one of the "red shirts." (It's a Star Trek reference - Hurley made - said how on Star Trek when they go down to the surface.. there are always the ones with blue shirts and gold shirts and red shirts.. and the "red shirts" are the ones who always get killed because they're not important.. LOL... so, in "lost land" they tend to refer to the other "survivors with no names" as "red shirts").  Anyway, no one can figure out how Ethan got there.. finally figure out he came from the sea... (insert creepy music here.. ).

The "lostlings" decide they have to "trap" Ethan before he kills again.  They (Jack, Locke, Boone, Sawyer, Kate, Claire and Charlie) decide to use Claire as bait (since she's who he wants), to lure him out, then they're going to capture him.  All goes according to plan.  Ethan shows up, chases Claire through the woods, the others jump him, beat him up, Sawyer has him at gunpoint... all is good!  Until Charlie flips out and empties a 9MM into Ethan... The others are not happy, they wanted to keep him alive to see if there were others with him... and why he wanted Claire.

That's basically the show, this one is really boring to me (can you tell?.. LOL).  One thing you will want to watch for though... the VERY beginning of the episode this week (Outlaws), Charlie and Hurley are burying Ethan... tape it, watch it in slow motion... count to four!.. Wink

edited because Kate's not Claire.. Sad

There are only 10 types of people in the world... those who understand binary, and those who don't.
