I'm wondering if Hurley knows Libby from the "mental" hospital?  Somewhere this week I came across a post at The Fuse that said something about Hurley and Locke's mom being at the same 'hospital.'  I'm gonna go back and check the episodes from season 1, see if they give the name of the hospital in both of the episodes.  Might be an interesting connection if they were all three at the same hospital...
