Ana Lucia - MAJOR Spoiler

It's just rumour, but it makes perfect sense... it's posted by the same person who posted the pictures of the "Henry Gale balloon basket" (did I put that here??)
-----------------------------------------------------

I've just found out that MR's trailer has been towed back to the lot and turned in for good.

My source says that the person who owns and maintains the trailers for the actors told them that her trailer isn't needed anymore.
Anymore, like as in ever! And she is already done with here scenes for the season.
They've also said the don't need the LAPD prop cars or sets anymore.

Now remember, they are still shooting scenes right now and have just begun to shoot the season ender.

She has also left the island today.
We'll get one more flashback of her on the force and that's it.

I know that JJ said she isn't leaving but I guess between the DUI and her diva like attitude is wearing real thin with the other actors.
So, I can olny go with what I know:

1. She's not shooting any more scenes.
2. Her trailer is turned in for good.
3. No more LAPD cars or sets.
4. Her hearing for her DUI probation violation coming up in CA.

You do the math.

I can only be as right as my source is so don't flame if I'm wrong.

Interesting...although they do use her very little in the show, and certainly we've seen none of the sexual tension they promised us between her and Jack and Sawyer...in general her only scenes lately are brief and in the hatch.

That is true Rhune. It has been a very anti-climactic story arc since they all arrived at one beach. I for one am disappointed that the tensions were not explored further. Maybe they will be in the next couple of episodes.

I like the character too, there are so few female characters on the show.

I would disagree.  I think there are a ton of female characters on the show, they just aren't utilized very much.  The primary focus is certainly on the male characters with the biggest underlying plotline being Jack vs Locke vs Sawyer.  For female leads we have Kate, Sun, Claire, Rose, Rousseau, Libby and Ana Lucia, and then lots of other females in the background who's stories have never been fleshed out.   There are a ton of women on there, most of them with strong personalities, but they just aren't being used.

I think they're being used.. just in different ways from the men.. the men are in this "control of the island" thing... whereas the women tend to be more of the "magic of the island"  - Claire accepting the baby, Rose's healing, Sun's pregnancy.  Libby is very underdeveloped... but if we're to believe the spoilers, she has a big part in the finale... so we'll see... I agree.. there are lots of women, they're just not as "vocal" as the men.. Cheesy

I don't think Ana is going anywhere. I just think it is all just speculation.

She was sentenced today to five days in jail in Hawaii, and has to report to California, where she could be sentenced up to 18months in jail for probation violation (dui and hit and run).  With two prior convictions, she could very likely get jail time... if that's the case.. she's at least out the next two seasons..
---------------
Here's today's story:
'Lost' Actress Chooses Jail Over Service

Apr 25, 11:13 PM (ET)

HONOLULU (AP) - "Lost" actress Michelle Rodriguez pleaded guilty on Tuesday to a single count of driving under the influence, choosing to pay a $500 fine and spend five days in jail rather than do 240 hours of community service.

Rodriguez, who portrays police officer Ana Lucia, and cast member Cynthia Watros were both charged with drunken driving after they were pulled over Dec. 1 in separate cars within 15 minutes of each other.

On Tuesday, a judge gave Rodriguez the option of jail time or community service.

She was to surrender to authorities at Kaneohe District Court later in the day.

Watros, who plays Libby on the ABC castaway drama, pleaded guilty to drunken driving in January and was fined $312, ordered to undergo an alcohol assessment and 14 hours of counseling. She also had her license suspended for 90 days.

Both Rodriguez and Watros were spotted weaving on a road in Kailua, on the island of Oahu, where "Lost" is filmed. Both failed field sobriety tests.

Rodriguez recorded a blood-alcohol level of 0.17, more than twice the legal limit of .08. Watros had a blood-alcohol level of 0.10.

In 2004, Rodriguez pleaded no contest in Los Angeles to three traffic violations, including drunken driving. She completed a three-month alcohol program and is serving a three-year probation term.

Yeah, I suspect the Lost people are cutting their losses.  I would hurt a lot more for her to be packed off to jail mid-season than just to write her off now and make a big season finale out of it.

After the first few episodes she was in, they have totally underused her, and we keep hearing complaint after rumor after complaint about how she behaves on the set.  The way she has handled this arrest is indicative of a really bad attitude.  I mean honestly, who chooses 5 days of jail time over community service?  Screw bettering the community or helping other people, I'm gonna go sulk in jail!  This does not speak of remorse or rehabilitation to me, it smacks of anger and attitude problems.  It smacks of cutting your nose off despite your face, like blowing an opportunity that could have transitioned your whole career.

I'd be rid of her too.

The fact that she has a hit and run conviction tells me she's not too concerned about others... I won't miss her.  I enjoyed the character in the beginning... there were sparks between her and Sawyer.. but other than that... I think they'll be fine without her and it will be great finale.. Cheesy

Yea, there are quite a few of female characters (not as much depth) but if they are killing them off then we are left with little. Of course they can always create a new character but i just don't like the fact that just when we are getting to know them, they are killed. Shannon and Boone, for example.
Rose's story only rises recently, Libby has always been very mysterious and i like Rousseau very much. The plot may be for them to die one by one so.. i understand but just don't like it.

I'm suffering through playing at the Hanso site.. it's quite awesome now..
