Twas a Sawyer-centric eppy.  That poor guy got messed up bad, both mentally and physically.  I KNEW that when they told him they put in a pacemaker to keep him in line, that that was a lie.

Sidebar:  Once my mother told her friend that she had a boil on the back on her neck (which she didn't have).  Mom put ointment on it and then a bandaid.  She told her friend not to touch it or anything and in a week it would be gone.  Marge (Mom's friend) did as instructed and after a week she took off the bandaid but felt a hard, large, painful bump there.  She went back to my Mom b*tching a blue streak.  That's when Mom admitted that she read somewhere of the power of persuasion and thought she'd test it ...and it apparently worked.  Because Marge thought she had a boil, it manifested because she was convinced she had it.

So I knew Benry was just playing w/ Sawyer.  I'm convinced that The Others are scientists who view our Losties as test subjects and nothing more.  They feel they are superior.

Just as predicted, Jack was asked to try to help save Colleen, but she died anyway.  Juliet said she's a baby doctor (prenatal or some such thing) and not used to death.  So she's trying to convince Jack that her people are passive, non aggressive people.  Yeah, tell that to Sawyer.  I'm not buy it.

Interesting though that they're stranded on another island...not the island they called home.  Looks like it would be too far to swim so unless our friends can get a boat, it looks like they'll be on "Alcatraz" (as Benry referred to it) for a while.

Was hoping they'd split this episode up half & half but we only got about 10 minutes of beach moments.  Desmond is still fortelling the future, wanting to refortify Claire shelter.  Everyone thought him abit odd and then came the downpour...and was the a lightning strike?

This episode was great... sort of helps you better understand Sawyer.  I loved his interactions with Benry involving "Of Mice and Men."

As for the lightning strike... my thought after was that the Des knew the storm was coming, and knew it would hit Claire's hut... so, since she wouldn't move, he built the lightning rod to deflect the strike so it wouldn't hit her.

I think the next two epis are "beach folks."  Then the break... I'm getting the first six epis on iTunes so I can rewatch between now and the next set of shows.

The storyline was good, but the also too violent & brutal for Sawyer.
I couldn't watch the beating he was given!
