Based on a character published by Marvel Comics, the story tells the tale of Dr. Bruce Banner who was exposed to Gamma Rays and transformed into the Hulk, a creature of incredible strength.

Scientist Bruce Banner (Eric Bana) discovers a tragic legacy has been passed on to him by his father (Nick Nolte). After experiments with scientist Betty Ross (Jennifer Connelly), Banner's inner demons are unleashed -- in the form of the Hulk. Chased across the country by the military (and General "Thunderbolt" Ross), he runs into a man named Crusher Creel, who can take on the properties of things he touches.

Hey... I've just seen this film last from in a movie premier.... and this movie rocks!...

It's great... how Ang Lee (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) have directed it....  They have relived the green monster and made it action-packed... leaving the audience waiting for the next action to occur!!

I have not seen this film as of yet (waiting for netflix to release it) But I feel ok with comments having read the comic for some years now. It seems they tooksome poetic license with this. In comic Bruce has NO legacy as mentioned but that is ok. I have read (not here yet) of complaints about this character (Hulk) and his being a computer image and how that takes his personality away. You clearly have not read comic or know Hulk's background. The Hulk emerges during times of anger in Bruce Banner he represents all his RAGE this Monster is nothing but RAGE in fact the madder he gets the stronger he gets!! He really cant have a personality so to speak he is nothing but rage. However he does still carry some of Banners good qualities so this helps when faced with a situation wher he might even kill! The Hulk is one of if not the most powerful being in The Marvel Universe and evenin comics can leap miles so to have an actor to portray him would lessen his real MIGHT! As stated i have not seen it waitng to get it on Netflix. i am careful now after Daredevil dissappointment. But sounds like a good one

I've seen it and its a good movie to watch but I don't have a favorite part in the movie except for the scene where Eric Bana walks butt naked.  There's not much thrill or excitement.  It has a storyline but not a climactic portion.  I especially didn't like the part when Bruce and his father had a long conversation in a dark room.  It seemed like they were doing monologues on a theatre stage.  I didn't know the Hulk had a father and he also had this weird power of blending into his environment or transforming into one of the elements.  The movie showed a good explanation though unrealistic as to why he becomes a monster, but I don't recall them explaining why he's green.

oh dear...yes, i did see this film, the day after it came out too.  i had too.  my friend needed someone to go with and i kindly volunteered.  i told him afterwards that he OWNED me.  (but then, he only wanted to see the special effects himself)  i found it terribly long in the tooth...drawn out...something i will not need to see again but then i am not a guy!   Wink

Most of the time I get dissappointed by comic films because they dont stick to comic and even though this one also strays from comic Bruce nor his Father have a blood condition. The rest of the film stayed right even the reluctant Gen Ross. I see Stan Lee's hand in this film a great film!
