'HAZZARD' FOR ASHTON & WALKER?
Entertainment Tonight

July 31, 2003 | According to The Hollywood Reporter, ASHTON KUTCHER and PAUL WALKER are being eyed to headline the big-screen version of 'The Dukes of Hazzard.' And what about their hot cousin, Daisy Duke? BRITNEY SPEARS' name is being floated as a possibility for the southern belle with a penchant for short shorts. The script reportedly isn't quite ready to go yet, so the General Lee will have to idle a bit before production kicks off.

I also loved the Dukes of Hazard but I think it was mostly cause of Tom Wopat and John. The show itself was a bit silly but who noticed when you got to see those two studs on your screen each Friday nite?? Hubba hubba... :laff:

yup..they were sure smart..they had two stud muffins on the show, a good looking lady who wore short shorts well, enough humor to keep you lauging specially with Roscoe (man that man always cracked me up) and even the dog for us animal lovers. I just can't imagine a movie is going to do as well as the series did but I will watch it once it comes out on video...

I had an article from TV guide at one time that Flash the dog was actually a dog but also a lot of the poses were just a stuffed dog that looked like her.... :laff:

Britney Becomes a Duke
Yee-haw! According to the folks over at SkyNews, Britney Spears is set to show off her assets on the big screen in Daisy Duke hot pants. That's right, from the wonderful land of remakes, Hollywood is planning on taking the 1970s TV hit "The Dukes of Hazzard" all the way to the box office.  And yep, Britney will squeeze into those trademark denim shorts when she plays Daisy Duke, which was originally played by Catherine Bach.

Word is Britney was hand picked for the role by Ashton Kutcher, who will play Luke Duke in the film. Supposedly the two became pals after she appeared on his MTV show "Punk'd." Paul Walker, of "2 Fast 2 Furious" fame, will play Bo Duke. No word yet on who will play the perplexed audience who didn't watch the show when it originally aired, but that nonetheless bought lunchboxes and stickers.

I loved The Dukes Of Hazard and i will go see the movie if it ends up being made but I from the past of the actors I can't help but to keep thinking that the General Lee will be some orange import ricer with a rebel flag on it. Plus Britney Spears's acting career sucks (just my opinion)
