Huh  Has anyone seen this movie?  Did I even spell it correctly?  Oh, heck, who cares!

If you've seen it, what is your opinion?  We've just been so busy we've not had time to view it yet, but want to, we think!

We have heard that the first 45 minutes is a drag but gets going and is very good afterward.  So how long is this movie?  120 minutes, if so that means we sit through a third of it bored stiff! Undecided

ok, completely off topic but luci just reminded me of it
I just saw where luci said "stud or dud"

as most of you know, I take care of two young mentally disabled young men in my home.

I like to make sure they are dressed very age appropriate, like other kids their age dress.  Every morning while I am doing davids hair, when I am done, he will look in the mirror, and I say  wel, how do you look.  Every morning his response is "dud...hot dud"  he cannot quite pronounce the "st" well.  LOL  Sorry but this cracked me up when I saw it

you may now have your thread back!  Cheesy

Cool Cool Cool Thanks Bumper for your thumbs on this movie!  We did manage to take 2 hours on Wednesday afternoon and see it.
We both would also give it a thumbs for a feel good movie.

Ok, What happened to Seabiscuit after his racing days were over?   Spent his remaining days on the ranch grazing and living a good life?  We know he did not sire any offspring as he couldnot by the time he raced.

And....what happened to Red?  Were his remaining years happy?   Did he marry?  Have children?  Stay on the ranch with the Howards?  Do any of you know these answers, if so thanks for your reply.

just saw it yesterday, and loved it.  i was wondering for the first 30 minutes or so where horses would come in though, especially when they are talking about the car as "the new and better horse".  i was like, okay, well, what about the old horsesHuh  i think it was longer than two hours though, it started at 3, and we left at like 5:30 maybeHuh

We were told before we saw it the first 30 minutes would be slow.  However, we did not find that at all for it had to set the premise for the story and the USA at the time.

We've  also learned that Seabiscuit lived a good retirement in his old age on the ranch and Red did marry and stayed, at least for a logn time with the Howards, as they became his family.

It's nice to know they had a happy ending!
