The schedule for this special theatrical screening series is as follows:

December 5-11
Special Extended Edition The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

December 12-15
Special Extended Edition The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

Tuesday, December 16
One-time-only marathon of both the Extended Edition prints followed by the first
screenings of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

Wow! Each movie is 3 hours long in its original form, so if they added say half an hour to the first two, you're looking at 11 hours in the theatre, not counting intermissions, meal breaks, etc. But, God, would it be intense to see the entire story in one sitting in a theatre! Maybe I need to schedule a few days off in mid-December. Wink
