A progressive hip-hop artist who recorded with De La Soul and Bush Babees before releasing his full length debut album, "Black on Both Sides" in 1999, Mos Def has carved out a diverse acting career in a very short time. He has appeared in Spike Lee's "Bamboozled," the Oscar-winning "Monster's Ball" and the summer blockbuster "The Italian Job."
