28 Days Later and Legally Blonde 2

Okay. I only rent videos now about once a month and today these were my choices.  As always, will give my reviews later.  As for 28 Days, I understand Stephen King bought out an entire theatre in Maine and stood outside giving away free tickets because he liked it so much. That tells me alot.  Hopefully not your average slasher flick. As for Legally Blonde 2, well, let's just say I am sure I can relate on the blonde note.  lol  But first, I must go and watch my tape of The Burton Show from last night.    Grin

Here's my 28 Days Later review. Bear in mind, I have been waiting months to see this.  Anything recommended by Stephen King has to be seen.   Also, it was close to home because I have spent years analyzing King's books and movies. In college, I made an A+ in filmwriting when I adapted Cat's Eye into a script.  The opening scene of 28 Days Later was incredibly gross but established the premise.  Then there is a man who awakens in modern day London. Only to find it is devastated and entirely empty.  How they filmed the empty streets and large areas is unknown to me. The quietness is incredible.  This man finds an old newspaper and reads "Evacuation of British people causes global chaos."  All of the opening scenes are beyond belief.   The night scenes are even better.  Soon the man learns there is no government, no army, no police, no radio, no TV and no electricity.  As his journey unfolds, you have absolutely no idea where it is taking you.  A couple of incredible scenes include changing a flat tire and a trip to the grocery store. Also a scene of horses running wild brought me to my knees.  Absolutely lost in all the violence, there comes a great story and an even better ending. At the end, I was standing up clapping and screaming YES!   A must see for anyone who likes Stephen King and can handle the gore and violence.   I can see now why he liked it so much.    Cool

I finally watched Legally Blonde 2 yesterday afternoon.  Thank goodness I had rented it and kept it after the weekend. The worst part of staying home sick from work is daytime TV and telemarketers.

I found it thoroughly entertaining.  Yes, it's a chick flick.  And you simply have to lose yourself in the silliness of it.  Same as you would something like Charlie's Angels.  But it was really cute!  A nice piece of fluff that requires no thinking whatsoever.

I loved 28 days later. Excellent movie. Not over done by any means and good acting. As with any horrific movie like that it really puts it message out about how uncivilized we can get when things go wrong. Makes you wonder how things would be if it happened to you and how you and those around you would react.

"28 Days Later" is creepy... its about how the human race is almost wiped out of some virus... its an English film. Its an ok film, but somehow my siblings and I found ourselves teasing eachother that "28 Days Later" is our favorite movie. My mum didnt like it that much. Its creepy cuz it has a big possibility it would happen... I give it a B- or B.

Is Legally Blonde 2 better than 1? I havent seen it, 1 is kinda ok though...

wait... wait... I think Legally Blonde 1 is much better... the comics are new.. and the jokes are cuter... plus the case is quite more credible... hehehe  Grin
