After purchasing this one for my husbandd, I gave it to him early and we watched it last night.  Great pirate movie!  So I'm told, Depp patterned himself after Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones.  I can believe this one!

Orlando Bloom so reminded me of the late Errol Flynn in his old pirate movies.  OK, so I'm dating myself!
Anyway, we were entertained for 1 hour and 60+ minutes!  Check it out this holiday season, that is if you can get to the VCR or DVD player between football games Wink

luci, I saw this on Halloween in New Orleans.  QT and I had come in from a night of partying in the French Quarter and got it on PPV.  As we know, it stars her favorite actor.  lol.  And sorry to say, I remember very little of it and certainly not the ending.     Embarassed

David, I so agree with you about Depp.  He always comes acroos to us as a sultry disagreeable actor, so this is why we had not seen the movie thus far.  My cousin told me how great a movie it is, so we checked it out and agree it is one for our collection of DVD's!   Cool Cool Cool

I personally thought Johnny Depp was really REALLY great in the movie Blow, out a couple years ago.  I recommend it to anyone, if you're looking for a good renter.

I loved the movie and really enjoyed Johnny's portrayal of Capt. Jack Sparrow.

So did we enjoy his role as Capt. Jack Sparrow very much indeed!   Cool Cool Cool
Yes, Rhune, in "Blow" he plays a drug king who made a lot of money in the 70's, right?
