Mine has got to be "The Sound of Music" hands down! All the songs are memorable and the story is engaging and strong. This is one of the best classics of all time in my opinion!

A good second is "The King and I"... which is also touching. I didnt like some of the songs though...

"Hello Dolly", "Chicago", "Evita", "Mary Poppins" are quite good, but I didnt really get attached to it...

Jesus Christ Superstar, not only are the songs good, the movie (and the stage version even more so) Is quite humorous.  ( I am referring here to the 1970's version, not that 2000 remake with NOT JESUS

Yesteach, you picked a great one!
Me?  I love them all!  However the music from "Soouth Pacific" is wonderful, along with all of the others mentioned.  Did anyone mention "My Fair Lady?"

Also the musical Clint Eastwood sang in,  what is the name of it?  He sang "Miriah".  Maybe I'll think of it later, unless one of you remember it first.  What is it?

That would be "Paint Your Wagon" which starred non
singers Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood who sang "They Call the Wind Mariah".  I think the Kingston Trio first recorded it.

"Paint Your Wagon", I remember that on a Simpson episode where Homer and Bart expected it to be a bloody movie, then the mean cowboys started singing... it was hillarious!
