We rented this film day it came out and loved it. But I was talking to co worker and since we rented "Directors cut" we saw a different ending. I was wondering was end of orignal film? I am going to say what end of film was on version we watched but I will scroll down first so not to spoil film for others SPOILER ALERT!!!................................................................ ........................................................................ ........................................................................ ........................................................................ ........................................................................ ........................................................................ ........................................................................ ........................................................................ ........................................................................ ........................................................................ ........................................................................ ........................................................................ ........................................................................ ........................................................................ ........................................................................ ............................................................By the time film nears end main character realizes that his family and friends would be better off if he had never existed. (see scene with fortune teller she says he shouldnt be there he has no life line) So he goes back to his birth and wraps his own ambilical cord around his neck. Final scene shows all the other characters living very happy lives. Now I was told he decide he should have never met girl so he arranges that and even passes her on street ignoring her

he decided to frighten her by threatening her that he will kill her (or her mom) if she ever gets near him...  it occurred during that first party where they first met...

ok I think version I watched sounds much more exciting. Let ask for the following in your version

1. A Mother and her child killed when kids girl main character and two other boys place a bomb in mailbox

2. Main characters dog murdered by other boy

david, I watched this Friday night and then again yesterday.  It took 2 viewings to finally "get it".  And boy what a powerful flick.  Wow!  What about when he came back with no arms!  Talk about a shocker.  I am kind of glad the way it turned out.  The ending I saw was of him passing her on the street.  I have to wonder how her life turned out.  I can only hope it was better than the other scenarios.
