Manchurian Candidate 1962

This old classic was on last night and since neither of us had seen it, we decided to see it first and then the current one that has just been released.
 
A very interesting, entertaining movie, with a twist that will keep you in your seat.  We both hardly moved out of our chairs for the two hours it was on.
 
Frank Sinatra, Lawrence Harvey, Angela Lansberry, and John Daley.  Other old stars that some will remember being in films of the past.
 
The ending is not one you will not expect!
 
Now we're ready to view the current film with  
Denzel Washington and Meryl Streep!

We recorded it last night, can't wait to watch it.  I agree tho, I wanted to see the old one before we went to see the new one.. Smiley

I have heard the new one is very good, but not as good as the original.  Watching them back to back might make that all the more noticible.

I just finished watching the old one.  Very much a political satire of McCarthyism.  Just curious, what "threat" are they showing in the new one.  In this one it was the "threat of communism."  I really liked this movie though.  Lots of twists here I didn't see coming.. :0)
