Rhune, I expected a review from you.  Roll Eyes

Was it based on the book of the same title, written by whats-his-name?

It's an 18th Century English Story Roll Eyes for the rest of it.

We saw the trailor at the movies and never could decide what the story line is :yikes:

The story was probably something I'd have enjoyed more if I'd read the book.  The biggest problem I had was that it was impossible to feel any sympathy or connection with Reese Witherspoon's character and in order for you to enjoy this movie I think it's essential to connect and feel sympathy for her.  I was left thinking "good, you got exactly what you deserved" and "who cares" which I'm sure is not what the director was intending for me to feel after watching it.
