The peaceful community of Amity island is being terrorised. There is something in the sea that is attacking swimmers. After many attempts the great white shark won't go away and sheriff Brody, with friends Hooper and Quint decide to go after the shark and kill it.

I remember begging my Mom to let me see this movie!
She didn't want to let me because my Dad's boss's son saw it and had nightmares for a week and he was 2 years older than me at the time. I think that I was 11 or 12. Finally saw it and loved it. Told Mom that it wasnb't my fault that the other kid was a wimp!

This was a biggie for my parents to let me go see by myself with another friend of mine. She and I huddled up in our seats and watched from between our fingers, trying to hide our eyes. I believe I was 13 at the time.

After that film, the minor second interval was forever marked in the world of music!

I watched this when I was about 6 years old at a neighbor's house. After that I went and took a bath and my evil sister sat there humming the theme song. I didn't take a bath for at least 2 weeks till my mom found out. I thought it would come up through the drain. To this day I still don't go in the ocean. I watch the movie constantly now but sharks are still my biggest fear.
