Did any one know, they are makeing two more of these. And for people who like Johnny Depp as a pirate, yes he is in both.

Yep, and did you also know that Keith Richards, who Depp patterned his Jack Sparrow after, has been asked to appear as Jack's father?

I really hope these two are going to be as good as the first. From what I've seen so far, it should be.  
 
But one question. How are they gonna top "but why's the rum gone"?

My understanding is that Johnny was asked in an interview who he based his character after, and he said Keith Richards.  The director read that interview and was so tickled, that he tracked Keith down and asked him to play the role of Jack Sparrow's father in the sequel.

I saw Johnny Depp on Leno one night and he was talking about basing his character on Keith Richards, and told Leno they were going to talk to him about playing his father... maybe the same interview?  I can just see the two of them... hilarious!!

I heard the same thing and it was gonna go ahead. It was all set. But then Keith Richards had to pull out for some reason. That was a while ago. I don't know what happened after that. Has anyone checked out Imdb?

I don't know who Keith Richards is, but I did a search in IMDB and 2 names came up. One Keith Richards is a composer, the other one is an actor, but he's been dead for almost 20 years.  Huh

I checked the casts for the two new ones, and didn't see his name anywhere... the night I saw Depp on Leno, he said "they had talked to him about appearing as Jack Sparrow's father."  Wasn't supposed to be a big part, basically a "walk on" type thing from what I gathered...  I'm guessing one of those things where if it works out, it will be a nice addition, and if it doesn't it won't affect the plot of the movie... though it would be fun to see Depp and Richards together.. Cheesy

I know this ain't funny but Keith Richards fell out of a tree. I'm just wondering if Jack Sparrow will be falling out of a tree in the 3rd POTC. Shouldn't laugh. Keith Richards is in a bad way apparently.
